Support the mill's human resource related objectives. Utilize experience to assist in and
strengthen HR functions including but not limited to: strategic management, employee
and labor relations, safety, organizational development, staffing, compensation and
- Assist in the facilitation of union/management activities, including the interpretation
and administration of labor contracts to ensure accuracy, consistency and fairness.
- Participate in contract negotiations.
- Coordinate employment activities and manage discipline, grievance & arbitration
processes for specified departments in the mill.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers
at all levels.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures.
- Manage salary hiring and orientation process.
- Manage the overall salaried training and development efforts and support the hourly
training initiatives.
- Supervise the hourly payroll process.
- Bachelor's degree Human Resources or related field.
- 7-10 years of HR related experience, 3 years experience in union environment,
considerable knowledge of employee relations principles and practices, and 5 years of
supervisory experience.
- PHR or SPHR preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to champion change and influence others at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Bottom line :
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
2. 7 + years of HR experience, including at least 5 in a supervisory role.
3. 3 + years of HR experience in union environment.
4. Considerable knowledge of employee relations principles and practices.
5. PHR or SPHR preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
