How you will impact Ingevity
Apply your skills to increase efficiency, reliability and productivity in Ingevity's manufacturing environment as you own assignments which support production and process engineers. Our Co-ops are challenged to conduct analysis, planning and delivery of meaningful projects which have direct impact on our company's bottom line. In this role, heavy emphasis is placed on safety and quality impacts, process improvement and troubleshooting. You will gain knowledge and appreciation for reducing environmental impact and maximizing value creation through application of engineering.
Examples of past co-ops projects include: investigate operating performance of various unit operations; design, specify, and install small capital jobs; troubleshoot quality issues; validate raw material quality; improve process safety.
By the end of your assignment, our mission is to have positively impacted your curriculum and career goals in preparation for life after college.
What you need to succeed
Sophomore or junior level student in pursuit of Bachelor's degree in engineering is required
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8+
Technical aptitude, a hands-on mindset and software proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail
Ability to organize and prioritize workload
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility to travel: under 5%

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
